General
-
In a world of instant-everything, we still print one sheet at a time. That means our process is purposefully patient. Here’s a general overview of when we recommend ordering each piece:
Save the Dates: 8-12+ months before your wedding
Invitations: 6-8 months before your wedding
Day-Of Details: 3-4 months before your wedding
We’ll put together a custom timeline to document important (anticipated!) milestones: your project start, production, and delivery dates.
-
Yes. Rush orders can be accommodated for an additional 30% of the standard invoice. Projects may be considered rush orders when the timeline from start to delivery falls within 12 weeks.
-
Happily! Out-of-state and international commissions simply call for a little more lead time to allow additional room for thoughtful planning, ordering samples, communication across time zones, and careful shipping of every piece.
-
Yes, which is especially great if you’re not local to Seattle! This gives you a chance to feel the paper and see the printing techniques firsthand. Mention if you’re interested, and we’ll share what's available.
-
For Save the Dates and Invitations, many June Press couples order in quantities of 25, 50, or well beyond. Keep in mind this number is based on your household count, not total guest count—one mailed piece per address.
-
First, thank you for your interest in working together! We invite you to fill out the inquiry form with thoughtful responses. We’ll be in touch within 48 business hours to deliver our Studio Handbook, which features helpful info, and the option to schedule a phone chat.
Once we’ve connected, you’ll receive a formal proposal, along with a contract and invoice, to sign and submit your 50% deposit. And so it begins: your wedding stationery is officially commissioned with June Press!
Design
-
It’s so fun to get creative in the wedding planning process! Though as a design-first studio, we don’t typically offer print-only services for outside artwork. Everything produced in the studio begins here. It’s how we can stand behind the quality of each piece.
-
June Press is a wedding paper studio at heart. Rather than offering digital stationery options, we pour ourselves into printed Save the Dates and Invitations. Snail mail is our love language after all!
-
Out of respect for our couples and what they so lovingly invest in the experience, this one stays with us. Details like our typography choices are what make each June Press suite its own.
-
Your stationery commission includes up to two rounds of design revisions. This gives us room to refine the details until it feels exactly right to you. Then we move into proofreading, which typically takes 1-2 rounds. We’ll carefully review every word and address to ensure perfection before production.
Investment
-
You’re investing in a full-service experience, meaning we handle everything from sourcing supplies and materials to design, production, assembly, addressing, and mailing. You’ll also receive a gift of your own: a linen-covered keepsake box to hold your wedding paper treasures.
-
When we send our initial proposal, it does not include postage or shipping. These costs will be outlined in a separate invoice, which you’ll receive near the end of production to ensure everything is weighed accordingly.
-
We require a 50% deposit and signed contract to officially book your stationery project. The remaining balance is due before production begins, with a possible follow-up invoice for postage and shipping once your final suite is assembled and weighed.
Payments can be made via debit card, credit card, or ACH transfer. Please note that we only schedule projects, order materials, and/ or begin design work once any payment due has been received.
